I am very sad to find the semester is already over. From learning about prions to experiencing the Ruhlman conference first hand, this class gave each student countless opportunities to expand our scientific knowledge in relation to art.
What I found most valuable throughout the semester was the task of expressing our research and ideas through concisely-written blogs. Reflecting on lectures on various creative and scientific subjects helped me become comfortable with writing short summaries. I also personally loved working on my midterm project. I was able to research something important to me that also involved the meshing of both science and art.
I hope this course will be offered next year so the class of 2018 (and the entire student body) may have the opportunity to experience a truly unique course. I’d like to thank Professor Vardar-Ulu for making this seminar possible. Whether you love science, art, both or are interested in either, this class is for you!
