My piece shows part of the Prion Protein’s structure. I am attaching a photo of the Prion Protein as I found it: 
. I tried to show the structure by dipping the ink in the water and creating the atoms and then blowing through a straw in order to make them connect in the right way. This exercise made me think more about the difficulty of art than about prions themselves. It made me think about how hard it is for artists to create their work and to show what they want to show. It was hard to use the ink because it went wherever it wanted on its own and I was not able to maneuver it as well as I had hoped. As a result, my drawing came out messier than I had hoped. I tried over and over to make it more neat but it did not work out as I hoped. This made me think about what the artists were talking about in the presentations and about how it takes time to think about how to present what you want to show.
