On 9/20 I wish that I could attend the strike downtown in Boston. I unfortunately was busy that day trying to secure full time employment and I had an interview a couple blocks over. However, I do think that expressing our right to democratic protest is very important and I wish I could have attended. I think that the cause is very important and a pressing worldwide issue. I am interested to see how engineering and technology evolve to find solutions of how to decrease CO2 levels in the air. What I am curious about is the result of these protests and what kind of impact it will have on the people who have the power to impact these high level decisions. I think people are really stuck of trying to figure out what they can do to help the cause but the sad reality is that most of it comes from our government and large corporations. I am interested to see what the official response will be from different governments and what solutions they propose.
