Last week we went to the Butler boathouse and interacted with a boat to really get a better sense of how the boat sling works. We established that the biggest problem we face is finding a contact point on the boat where the suction cup can attach. The second biggest problem is comfort. The strap functioned well and held the boat on Lizzy’s shoulder.
Our new version has a cushion to provide comfort under the arm and two suction cups to stabilize the strap so friction doesn’t become painful and the boat is more secure. It’s still troubling that the suction cups are kind of hard to use.
