This week we worked on the initial working prototype of archery stand project. We built half of the upper part for archers to hold their bows tightly, with a triangle structure to make it more stable. Besides, we glued the bottom parts of the tubes so that it sticks to the base. We first brainstormed the potential materials that we can use for the project, and then designed the structure of it, finally put it into practice.
For next week, we are going to build the second half of the upper part to hold the bows. If possible, we also want to go to KSC and see if our product works in practice. I think the base might tilt off if the upper part of the tubes are too heavy, therefore we might need to contain a block to balance the weight from the pivot points at the base.
