We worked on our second working prototype. This time we made the foot strap with the same fabric, pvc pipe, sewing, and foam. However this time we riveted the pipe to the fabric and an additional piece of plastic. While the process of riveting was tough, it made a much sturdier connection between the pipe and fabric.
We also had time to create an armband. We didn’t have enough of stretchable bands and decided to use a nonelastic one. We plan to improve it with elastic straps and buckles.

We have gotten our Amazon ordered buckles and attached them to our upper body attachment.
Upon consultation with Prof.Amy we have decided to make two more prototypes: one copy of our original to stimulate both legs and another that has two holders on one leg. It seems like we are getting close to a final working prototype. Once we have our final functioning prototype we will go to the fabric store and buy better quality fabric. It is hard for Amanda and me to make time— therefore it would be best if we use the cloth as upping the quality of our model.

We came in at different times today, I came first than Amanda as I left. I have finished sewing our new prototypes and Amanda will be riveting them. Since it is hard to sew through the velcro by hand I am planning on learning how to use a sewing machine. I must make time for the library to do so. Otherwise, we have finished our prototypes! We will test and have them critiqued tomorrow at CRI.
