3:
- Kept glove style from prototype 1
- Included palm padding and 3D attachment from prototype 2
Note*
Prototype 3 velcro is unglued (in order to transfer to later prototype design)
4:
- Kept wrap design from prototype 2
- Included revitted attachment from prototype 1
- Kept finger restraints (but were later removed during testing because they made the diameter of the attachment too small to fit around oar
Note* Triple check diameter to ensure it fits on oar grip
Next steps:
- Use a smaller nub (plastic piece on the end of the smooth 3D printed piece) to ensure full range of motion
- Make sure finger restraints don’t wrap around the interior of the attachment (The portion tangent to the oar)
- More freedom around wrist to allow feathering
- Include the finger wrap on next prototype
- Incorporate gear motion to facilitate feathering
