In terms of affordances, the machine has buttons that are clearly made to push in. Additionally, The dollar feeding machine’s shape indicates how bills should be inserted in. The user first knows to use the machine with the digital screen or pictograms that indicate how. For feedback, If an item is out of stock or the machine is broken, the screen will say what is broken. However, the machine doesn’t say what needs to be done to fix it. This website states the average machine uses about 10kWh Daily. This seems like a lot considering how much time a vending machine is sitting being unused.
