I really enjoyed our trip to CRI. As I talked about in class, it really rejuvenated my mindset in terms of simple adaptations that can be used with my sister. Over all, we talked primarily about the chest straps, rowing handles (to keep hands from slipping off), boat/oar carrying, and the wheel chair ramp for the dock. At this current time, I’d be most interested in working on the rowing handles or the boat carrying. I’m interested in the rowing handles because that one seems the most straight forward / doable in terms of my skill level. The boat / oar carrying interested me too because as we talked about all the possible projects, I tried to do a little brainstorm session each time. That is the projects I had the most/best immediate ideas.
