If you have been wondering what has happened to this blog, the answer is that I have been devoting all my energy to finishing a book on international investment income. These are the payments that come from multinational operations, holdings of foreign stocks and bonds, and international bank activity. These are all recorded in a country’s current account, and rival or exceed the trade balance.
