If you’re missing Groups in the initial App Launcher menu, click More to see it — Groups was pushed down to accommodate Docs, Sheets, and Slides. More info.
On 2/17/2015, the new Google Drive will be the default version; you can still revert back to the old version for awhile. One nice feature is Details, which shows a preview of the file, who has access, and recent activity/edits. More info.
