About

“Mirror” is a student project at Wellesley College’s Whitin Observatory that aims to highlight the stories and contributions of women astronomers. We bring attention to astronomers across cultures and time periods, with a focus on non-caucasian and non-European women, whose efforts face the most institutional erasure in the mainstream scientific community today. We hope by doing this, female and AFAB students and aspiring scientists will be able to find their “reflection” in those who came before them.
