I am a Wellesley College Class of ’26 History major. My interests lie in non-Western colonial social history with a focus on gender, sexuality, and race. Although I mainly studied Contemporary History, I am also pursuing more Early Modern and Ancient contexts through my research for Mirror and exchange at Oxford. My goals are to perpetuate interdisciplinary studies in History and the Natural Sciences, to highlight intersectional perspectives and contributions, and to make intellectual resources more accessible to all.

I am a sophomore at Wellesley College (Class of 2027) majoring in Art History. My academic interest primarily focuses on the history of modern and Asian art. However, I am open to any opportunities to learn new things related to my interests! I wish to become a museum/gallery curator in the future. I am currently working as the Events Chair for the school’s Art History Club, a Curatorial Assistant at Wellesley College’s Davis Museum, and a Research Assistant at Mirror. I am a passionate scholar as well as a part-time artist, Peking opera performer, and baker/cook. I love going to exhibitions and museums, taking beautiful photos, singing songs, and reading books and poems.

Hi! My name is Lucena, and I am a sophomore (c/o 2027) majoring in art history and economics. I am excited to be involved with Mirror as I am passionate about historical preservation and primary research. So far, I have pursued Mirror topics in ancient Egypt, Japan, and the Philippines, and I hope to explore more cultures! I am the Events Chair for Wellesley Kapatid (the Filipino Club) and the Secretary for Wellesley Botanistas. In the future, I would like to continue art history in graduate school and pursue museum administration or curation!
