Observer becoming a participant, large scale projection as mirror

GONE/ReDONE is a conceptual mixed media installation and audience behavior study that documents the transformation of a large drawing that was made then erased by the audience at a public live event. For the duration of the remaining of the exhibit, the documentation of the event, the drawing and its erasure process is projected back onto the same wall, in actual size. The projection becomes an archive, a mirror of an event frozen in a loop, overlaid on its own remains. This project was especially rewarding for returning visitors, upon return having a chance to experience their own participation as an observer. The project was partly inspired by Dan Graham “Performer/Audience/Mirror” (1975)
