If you’re a faculty or staff member and have a Mac using 10.6, 10.7, or 10.8, please go to this page (www.wellesley.edu/lts/techsupport/macs/netbiosfix) and follow the quick instructions for your version.
*Devices and the network are continually connecting and chatting to each (“are you there, network?” “you bet, I’m here” “how about now?” “sigh, yes, but maybe you’ll be turned off soon?”) and too much chattiness can slow down the network, if not for you, for others, so thanks for doing this!
