Phishing work offers too good to be true

A current phishing example offers $200 to usher an event at Collins. The email comes from a compromised Wellesley email accounts, but when you reply it is sent to an @gmail.com account.

You can ensure the email address you’re replying to is the same as the one it came from by clicking the triangle next to “to me” to see if there is a Reply-to: note.

In this particular scam, you are sent too much money and the scammer asks you to return the rest. The check will be initially cleared by the bank, then will be discovered as a fake and the full amount removed from your bank account.
