Library Proxy Server upgrade in January

The Library’s proxy server authenticates Wellesley users, allowing on- and off-campus access to Library-paid e-resources. Our current proxy server is not keeping up with new browser technology, so we are migrating to a new proxy server called EZproxy this January.

What does this mean for you?

Links to e-resources will be changing on the A-Z database list, catalog records, and libguides to remove the old proxy and incorporate the new proxy server.

Old links will continue to work, but as browser updates continue, some links may stop working and links you may have in class course syllabuses, Endnote, etc, will need to be changed.

For example, JSTOR (https://www.jstor.org)

URL with OLD proxy server:
https://0-www.jstor.org.luna.wellesley.edu

URL with NEW proxy server:
https://ezproxy.wellesley.edu/login?url=https://www.jstor.org
