If you haven’t had an opportunity to visit the newly renovated Schneider Center, please do! Schneider opened in June, following a yearlong renovation that transformed the building, restored many of its original architectural details, and brought together many of our student-centered administrative offices. This summer, several offices moved from Green Hall to Schneider: Student Financial Services, Registrar, Class Deans, International Study, and Students’ Aid Society.
Additionally, the Office of Faculty Housing and Transportation moved from the Physical Plant to Schneider this summer. (Student Housing, which is now part of the Office of Residential Life, is located in 106 Billings Hall.)
This renovation, and the subsequent office moves, brings even more vibrancy to a central part of campus—located next to Billings, and near the Chapel, Clapp Library, and small houses. The new Schneider Center also represents a shift in the way the College organizes administrative offices to better serve Wellesley students and the College community.
We look forward to celebrating the re-opening of Schneider with a community gathering this fall.
