Speaker: Angela Esterhammer
Angela Esterhammer is Professor of English at the University of Toronto, where she served as Principal of Victoria College from 2012 to 2024 and as Founding Director of the Jackman Scholars-in-Residence program since 2016. She is the author of four monographs in the field of British and European Romanticism including, most recently, Print and Performance in the 1820s: Improvisation, Speculation, Identity (Cambridge UP, 2020). Her current research interests include late-Romantic print culture, performance, periodicals, and fiction, and she is General Editor of the Edinburgh Edition of the Works of John Galt.
