With grant support from Massachusetts EEC funding, our program at Wellesley College offers trainings and opportunities on the CLASS® assessment. This site is made for you, whether you seek a brief overview of CLASS®, or are a newly-certified observer ready to develop your skills in classroom observation. For more detail, see What We Offer.


Ready to Get started with CLASS®?
The CLASS® tool by Teachstone, Inc. allows education professionals to assess quality interactions across three basic domains: Emotional Support, Classroom Organization, and Instructional Support. We focus on the use of CLASS® at the Pre-K to 3rd grade level, and invite you to explore this tool and its potential to improve quality and guide planning. Looking to Advance existing CLASS® Skills?
Our PLC workshops, 45-minute zoom discussions covering a range of CLASS-related topics, are an excellent way to learn about CLASS® concepts put into practice. Whether interested in joining us for a live workshop, or viewing a pre-recorded PLC from our video library, click the “Advance your Skills” button below. This section also contains materials from Teachstone Inc, the owner of the CLASS® tool. Teachstone has developed an enormous number of articles, videos and other resources to help learners of all levels. Lastly, we include information about our new “Apprentice” program, designed to help certified CLASS Observers build confidence in all phases of their classroom Observations.
