Goodbye October!

Hi everyone!

Fall in Wellesley is an amazing time: the trees are full of color, the leaves are gorgeous, it’s not yet cold, and the animals are constantly moving around (I especially love the squirrels running everywhere). It is also exam season, which can bring down the mood a little, but hey, all in all, the fall season is one of my favorite times of the year!

October felt like one of the longest months ever. I feel like so much has happened, but it is still the same month. To celebrate the end of the month (and with it, the end of the fall and the upcoming start of the winter season), my friends and I went apple picking over the weekend. I am going to be very honest with you: my family laughed at me when I told them about that activity. Imagine explaining to your grandparents, who spent a lot of their lives farming and collecting fruit as a part of their jobs and obligations, that you are PAYING to go collect fruit yourself; the concept is just really unimaginable for them. And honestly, I also found it kind of weird at first since I have spent a significant amount of my summer days growing up trying to escape from having to pick fruits or working with the farm animals. However, I ended up having a lot of fun with it. I also ended up eating waaaaay too many apples. I love fruit in general, and apples are definitely a top tier fruit for me.

Apart from that, I have been enjoying all the cool events around campus. This past week, there were a lot of events about chocolate, and the culture and history around it. I am also just about to go to a lecture from Andrew Choi, the voice of Jinu from K-pop Demon Hunters. Exciting! I am also excited about Halloween this weekend. I will let you know about that next week. See you soon!
