I hope everyone had a fabulous Thanksgiving!!! I definitely did, but if you would have asked me a week ago if I was looking forward to Thanksgiving, I would have said no. You see, I am one of the few who have remained on campus during Thanksgiving break. I thought I was going to be very lonely and that my Thanksgiving meal would be awful. However, I had a stroke of luck when one of my coaches invited me to Thanksgiving with his family and family friends. It really was a great meal and we definitely had some interesting conversations. I'm so thankful for that day!
Being on campus when everyone is gone really isn't that bad either. It's sort of like walking around a store after it's closed. The Campus Center has restricted hours for once, but it hasn't been a problem. The Ville (downtown Wellesley) is actually pretty hoppin too. It seems like everyone is there. Today I sat at a cafe with some chicken noodle soup and read some John Steinbeck. You can never go wrong with Steinbeck and chicken noodle soup.
Only two more days until school begins again…Finals are SO close it's scary. BUT I must think positively: With finals, comes Christmas! (ps: how was black Friday for anyone who went?)
