I am so close to finishing my financial aid application, you guys! This is my third time doing it, and it has not gotten any easier. In fact, it is a major pain in the neck. I have a difficult family situation that has proven quite difficult to explain on my application, which hence made the process long and tedious the last two years. Because I am studying abroad next year, I decided to be all over my application this time. Although I definitely think my application is more complete and understandable this time, it has required a lot of time and effort. I think I remember being finished with my financial aid application sometime in December before my first year, but if you have any sort of problems with your aid, I wholeheartedly recommend bugging the Student Financial Services Office until you feel comfortable with your application and/or aid. They are there to help you! Also, I definitely recommend calling over email, and if you are on campus, going to their office is even better.
Also on my mind is the terrifying fact that we are on our LAST WEEK OF CLASSES. What!? I know. Crazy. I can barely believe it myself, and I knew it was coming. Because I will be unable to work while abroad, I will be working like crazy starting this coming Monday. That is, working like crazy on top of working on finals like crazy. Yikes.
This is what my summer looks like right now:
May 4th: LDOC (Last Day of Classes); LDOC Concert ft. Shamir and The Internet
May 5th-May 15th: Working and school
May 15th-early June: Working a whole bunch
Early June- June 12th: Honestly not sure. I haven’t quite figured out where I will be living (YOLO?)
June 13th-August 12th: I will be living in Harvard Yard and working in Boston. I am so excited to spend the summer here!
August 13th-early September: Spend some quality time with my family
Then I am leaving the country. For a whole year. I don’t think it has quite sunk in, and there is a lot I have to do before this is actually official, but I am already so excited! I have started getting rid of the clothes and things I don’t wear and have to start consolidating and packing really soon. So pumped for this! I have to go because I have so much homework to do in the next hour, but good luck on your own finals. You can do it!
