During the summer, I’m working for the admission office as an Admission Summer Intern (ASI), which is really fun 🙂 I love the people at the office! My supervisors, my fellow ASIs, and I went candlepin bowling once, which is like normal bowling but with smaller balls and pins, (it’s, apparently, a New England thing). But what I especially LOVE is getting to know prospective international students! It’s so fulfilling, as an international student, to help them in the application process.
With the ASIs, we have planned a few activities…
Movie nights: Our first movie was My Big Fat Greek Wedding which was SO funny. We also watched Creep, which was kinda weird tbh. We developed some trauma afterwards…
Picnic: It was so much fun! We went to Trader Joe’s to get the food, then found a nice spot to sit in Boston Commons and chilled there 🙂
I also met Sofi’s family in person! Sofi’s from Texas, so her parents and her little brother came all the way from Texas to visit her. It was so much fun because we went to dinner together, and I also got to spend 4th of July with them (which was my first one in the US, so that was exciting!).
BEACH DAY! I went to the beach for the first time with my friends, and found a new passion: collection of shells 🙂
Date with Joey! We see each other almost twice a week. He goes to Brandeis (one of the schools that we can cross-register at), which is nice because it’s relatively close. He speaks Spanish y’all–the key to my heart.
Bonus picture I took on my way to the admissions office for having read until this point!
