Back to the Grind (With a Grin)

Hello lovely readers!

I missed you! And blogging! But now I’m back:) Yay!

Returning to Wellesley as a sophomore is a totally new experience. Yeah, I was still a little anxious while packing up my things and driving away from home. But this time I knew what I was headed for. And so I was excited in a way I just couldn’t be last year.

This year, I’m an RA in Beebe (a wonderful little dorm on West Campus in the Sleeper Quad). Because I am an RA, I came back to Wellesley two weeks before the start of classes: a week of training and then the week of orientation! Being back early was amazing! I got to enjoy the incredible beauty of Wellesley without the stress of class, or any obligations at all really. (Well, besides training which was way too fun to call an obligation.) During those two weeks I made some wonderful friends:)

Dulce (Beebe RA) and I in our Pirate get-up. Beebe is pirate themed because Beebe (the namesake) was a sea captain. Wellesley, of course, made the jump from captain to pirate.

I’m so glad I decided to become an RA it has been an incredible experience thus far:)

On a side note: I DECLARED MY MAJOR LAST WEEK!

I am now officially an East Asian studies major and an Economics minor. To celebrate, I ordered myself a map of China from Amazon;) I know that’s weird but it made me happy!

When the map came, I couldn’t bear to take it back to my room uncelebrated. (Packages make me feel awesome.) So I unnecessarily traversed a good portion of the campus proudly displaying my awkwardly shaped package. I bumped into a lot of things…

As you can probably tell, I’ve had a pretty good first month back at school. Time has flown. I should probably do some laundry…
