So the first week of classes was a little interrupted by Juno, as I’m sure many of you are aware. I took the snow days (Tuesday and Wednesday!) to check a few things off my Wellesley list, including traying on Sev. Green, which I had never done before! I had a lot of fun:)
This past weekend, I had my first track meet since last year. The meet was at Tuft’s. I am so happy to be back in the groove. I’m slower than last year but I know I’ll improve with time. A good friend who goes to Tuft’s came to see me run, as well. So Saturday was a very enjoyable day:)
My classes this semester are the bomb! I’m taking two Chinese courses and two Econ courses. Both of the Chinese courses are 300 level. One is a language class, the other is a linguistics class on Asian languages. The Econ classes are Econ statistics and a class on game theory. The latter being the class that may end up being the most cool. We basically talk about the way people strategically interact with one another in order to produce the best outcomes for themselves. The professor told us on Friday that the aim of the class was to make us better “game” players, meaning at the end of the course we’ll be better at getting what we want. Haha no complaints here!
I’m so excited for all my classes this semester but it looks like there may be another snow day… Or at least a whole lot of snow. I don’t know whether to wish for a snow day or not. I actually really WANT to go to class! I guess that’s all I can ask for as a college student:)
I hope everyone is staying warm, no matter what part of the globe you’re in! Peace!
