Greetings from Thailand (for real this time)

Hello hello!

I’m currently sitting at the Pyramid Cafe on Tonsai Beach; it has the best wifi on Tonsai. (Which is saying a lot and not much at the same time because good wifi is hard to get…but Tonsai is also tiny haha.)

Wow there is so much to tell you I can’t possibly do it all in this post. And in fact this won’t be a long post even, because I’m meeting my friends for dinner soon. I’ve had a great 3 days in a row of climbing. I am incredibly exhausted but also surprised at how much energy I have considering I haven’t been eating much since I arrived on Tonsai. I usually just eat muesli, something I discovered after arriving, which is just cereal (usually with oats), dry fruit, fresh fruit, and yogurt. It’s actually super great and all these ingredients are at Wellesley too so I’m going to eat this when I get back on campus. 🙂

But yeah I usually just eat breakfast, and then no lunch (or a smoothie for lunch; my favorite ingredients are mango, banana and pineapple) and then a small (or no) dinner. I think it’s because my body doesn’t burn energy because it’s so hot and muggy here. I mean yes, I burn energy while climbing, but I don’t burn enough to get ravenously hungry, you know? Or maybe my body just gets weird and shuts down when it’s really hot haha. Because I’m seriously not hungry despite eating so little all week. I’m tired from climbing, but not hungry. And I’m not hungry in the morning either. Like this morning, I couldn’t even finish my muesli, even though I had no lunch or dinner yesterday. (And for breakfast I had part of my friend’s plate; like half of his fried egg and some of his toast.)

Anyway. Gotta go to dinner now! Talk later (((:
