~Weekends in New York~ …ALSO – LEGALIZED GAY MARRIAGE!

Greetings!

I spent a very gray, rainy, bleak weekend in New York – but it was all made up for by the time I spent with my friends. Not to mention the AWESOME, HISTORIC Supreme Court ruling that occurred the very same day I headed down to NYC!

Caitlin says this is the Roe v. Wade of our generation, and she couldn’t be more right. Now my best friend can get married in any state. <3

Also, on a side note, it is good to now know that Megabus is not reliable in terms of estimated travel time, and that in general their 5-hour trips will take 6 hours.

Here are some photos from the weekend!

Caitlin met me at the bus station and we took a cab back to her place, then grabbed dinner at Mumbles:

And then she showed me where she works, at 345 Park Ave. It’s such a nice part of town!

Then we walked around 5th Ave some more and got Korean food for lunch and visited Grand Central Station:

Then I went Uptown and met up with Priya! A longtime friend from high school. Got to meet her boyfriend, David – finally!! We went out for Mediterranean tapas:

Now for some photos from earlier this week: I’ve discovered that I really enjoy taking the frat house dog, Biscuit, out for walks after work! Omar is my partner in crime: (it’s funny, because Biscuit likes to stalk squirrels, and Omar humors him by stalking them with him…)

All in all it’s been a great week! Except for the weather in New York. But like I said, seeing my friends made up for that. 🙂

Next weekend, I fly home for my friends’ (Karen and BJ) wedding on the 4th! What a way to spend that holiday. This summer is just flying by – I love my work, I love what I do outside of work, before I know it I’ll be out of Boston and on the plane to England! Does life always happen so quickly??

Until next week,

~Em
