College Fashion

I hope everyone had a great Halloween weekend! Every year I say this, but I cannot believe it’s already November. It has felt like nonstop exams this past month, and I can’t wait to go home for Thanksgiving break in a couple weeks. Today, I want to write about something I have noticed in my past year at Wellesley: how…

Extra Busy Day in the Life

Today, I’m going to share what a very busy school day looks like in my life! I remember obsessively watching “Day in the life as a (insert college name) student” videos when I was applying to colleges, so I hope this can also be useful to readers. Tuesdays end up as my busiest school day. I have two back-to-back classes…

Why I Chose Wellesley

I think I’ve previously mentioned a little on why I chose to attend Wellesley, but today I want to dedicate an entire post to explaining what led me here. If you’re a prospective student reading, hopefully some of this can resonate with you. But first, here are some updates: I declared my major and minor! My major and minor plans…

Restful Fall Break 🍁

Last week was fall break at Wellesley! If you don’t know what fall break is, it’s a long weekend every October at Wellesley where we have no classes on Monday and Tuesday in addition to the regular weekend. Students use it as an opportunity to rest, catch up on schoolwork, explore Boston, go to New York City or elsewhere along…

Sophomore Fall

This week, I’m updating on where I am academically as a Wellesley sophomore. Declaring your major is the major part (see what I did there) of sophomore year at Wellesley! At Wellesley, you can major, double major, or major and minor. If you plan to study abroad in your junior year, then as a sophomore you’d have to declare your…

My Favorite Wellesley Tradition

One of my favorite Wellesley traditions is…. Flower Sunday! If you don’t know, Flower Sunday is the oldest tradition here at Wellesley. Once a year on a Sunday in September, first-year students (littles) are paired with upperclassmen students (bigs); bigs give flower bouquets to littles, attend a multifaith ceremony at Houghton Chapel, and bond over brunch. Everyone dresses up nicely…

Time for a Reintroduction!

Hi! My name is Tenzin, a Wellesley College student, and I’ve been blogging here since the fall of my first year. But, I want to reintroduce myself to readers: I’m a sophomore from Illinois, and I’m going to major in economics and minor in statistics. When I first introduced myself on this blog last year, I said I wanted to…

School Year Winding Down

This week one year ago, I visited Wellesley for the first time. I’d applied here early decision two without visiting and I probably didn’t know how to spell Massachusetts. I remember thinking campus was peaceful, beautiful, and I was excited to envision myself here. And now it’s been a year and so much has happened! I seriously cannot believe a…

Spring Weekend

Happy Friday! This past weekend was very fun and hectic. First of all, my cousin visited and stayed with me. On Friday night, my cousin and I went to Newbury Street for dinner. Newbury is an area in Boston with trendy restaurants, cafes, clothing stores, etc. The loco, our school bus shuttle, drops us off right next to Newbury. On…
