Birthday Brunches, England Plans, and Home

Spring break was so amazing and necessary. I think even as great as Wellesley is, everyone needs a mental break. It came just at the right time. Right before I left, I went over to Harvard to visit my brother to celebrate his birthday. We went to a delicious restaurant in Cambridge called Ten Tables, which had some of the most interesting dishes I’ve ever had. The next day, which was actually St. Patrick’s Day, I went to run some errands in Boston near Boylston and got to experience a typical St. Patty’s day in Boston—tons of jolly folk walking around in green and celebrating the holiday. It was such an interesting sight!

Then, I caught my flight back home just in time to celebrate my mom’s birthday with her as well! We had a delicious brunch with my dad, grandmother, and uncle at this restaurant sitting atop a mountain overlooking Los Angeles. It was such a gorgeous day.

I pretty much spent all of break simply relaxing, eating amazing food, running, and simply being carefree. It was so wonderful. I saw some friends back home and also spent a lot of time just catching up on myself.

Also, latest news—I was offered a spot to study abroad at Oxford for the full academic year, so I rescinded my acceptance at Cambridge and now will be going to Oxford!! I’m so excited and simply can’t wait. So many of my friends are also going to be England/ Europe, so I definitely will be doing a lot of traveling as well as exploring. Can not wait! But until then, I still have to wrap up my work this semester! Here I go!

Also, here’s an arial shot of Boston as I was flying in.

Boston, why are you so beautiful?
