A ~Spooky~ Week

What a week it’s been, guys.

With Halloween having been on a Wednesday this year, a lot of my friends were unsure as to whether we would celebrate or stay in. With so many tests and assignments happening, a lot of us- myself, included- were stressed, tired, and in no mental state to put on a costume to pursue activities outside of eating, sleeping, and studying. But with the help of a few halloween enthusiasts, a few friends and I made it out to Boston to celebrate with others!

And THIS is when I will bestow one of my many lessons that I have come to learn through my time at Wellesley:

Breaks are good for you.

All of us had a great time. None of us turned in anything late. Tests were all taken. I think it’s far too frequent that I’ve felt the need to pass up on something fun for the sake of studying one more hour. I’m in no way recommending that you throw out your books or for anyone to miss any deadlines; however, I think it’s really hard to give yourself a break in the moments you need it the most. More often than not, when I’ve given myself the benefit of the doubt that I have studied enough and that I should go out and enjoy myself, I end up having a great time, am better prepared to take on my other tasks, and have one more memory to cherish.

And because I spent my night playing into the spooky festivities, it made my ~nightmare~ of a week much more pleasant!
