The One with Galentines Day Fun

Last weekend was Valentine’s Day! This post is rather untimely BUT it was a super cute day so I wanted to write about it here. No one in my friend group really had plans for Valentine’s Day on Friday so we decided super last minute on Thursday night to do an impromptu Galentine’s Day at Acorns.

Acorns is a community space which is a literal house on campus that supports students of Latinx and Asian descent, as well as students who identify as LGBTQIA. It’s just a very nice, safe, and comfortable spot on campus to hang out. You can often find it adorned with lots of fairy lights, big cozy throw pillows, and a beautiful view of the lake from the porch!

We decided to spend the day with each other and cook dinner at Acorns!

Highlights from our beautiful evening included:

  • Lots of GOOD food
  • (Semi) Homemade 4-Cheese Mac N’ Cheese
  • Chocolate Covered Strawberries
  • Trader Joe’s Macaroons
  • Some fancy mozzarella and guac with pita chips
  • Hot Cheetos
  • The Most Dramatic Episode of The Great British Bake Off (Season 1, Episode 4 with Iain’s Baked Alaska!) at 2 A.M.
  • Some deep convos
  • 3 AM half asleep tag around the house and lots of laughter and love

  • Signing Off,
