A little more about professors!

Hello! I just got a comment on my last post asking for a little more information about why professors here are so amazing. I thought I would answer with another post in the hope that a few more people may see the answer!

As the person who commented wrote, everyone loves to rant and rave about Wellesley professors. Believe me, it's for a good reason. Many of our professors do a lot of research in their fields and have experienced things that a person can't simply learn about from a textbook. For example, I know several teachers in the political science department who are affiliated with the United Nations and have made presentations to members of Congress. They are the top authorities in their field. That level of achievement can hardly be matched by many other colleges. The professors here also make such an intellectual impression on the students. I often hear my friends talking about how impressed they are with the eloquence of their professors, or how they put things in entirely new perspectives. Our professors also have great attitudes. I have not yet met a professor who I did not believe was a nice person (which I generally think is the most important thing). They have office hours during the week for students if they need help and are also willing to make individual appointments if necessary. In other words, they are 100% accessible.

As you can see, I have nothing but good things to say about them! If you have any more questions, please comment and I will answer them as soon as I can! I hope this helps!
