Home for the Holidays

The fireplace is blazing behind me and my yellow labrador retriever is sleeping next to me as I write this. The past few days have been full of good food and much-needed sleep. Final exams were tough but now they're over!! My house is very festive with holiday cheer.

Coming home is sometimes full of awkward emotions for people as they revisit old friends, but I have always found that my high school friends and I can pick up right where we left off. Yesterday's Starbucks (back in Seattle, land of coffee) date with my girlfriends made me feel so thankful for the good bonds we have all established. I can't wait to spend this break with them and catch up!

It's rainy here (surprise!)… I don't think we will have any snow for the holidays. Oh well. I will have to make a trip up to the mountains to go skiiing, otherwise I will just play in the snow when I get back to Wellesley in late January.

Over this break I will be working at Seattle Children's Research Institute on an Autism study. I will be writing every week so keep looking for posts!

xoxo
