So, there are two full weeks of classes left this semester (we have two half-weeks left, too) and I cannot believe how quickly the semester has gone by. At the Class of 2014 Harambee House meeting today, Tracey Cameron (the advisor to students who identify with the African diaspora) asked us to describe this semester in one word: “fast”, “confusing”, “intentional” and “growth” were some of the responses. It’s scary how time flies…
Anyways, I spent the weekend with my roommate running around Boston’s North End. The North End is like “Little Italy”, think great food and even better desserts.
On the weekends, there is a fabulous market in the North End where you can buy fresh fruits ($2 strawberries) and goodies. It’s a great place to stock up on food for late study/gossip girl nights.
This coming weekend, ZA is taking a sisterhood retreat to Cape Cod. It’s by far the most popular sisterhood event of the semester. We’ll all cram into 1 house for a night of good food and good company. Saturday, we’re celebrating Camylle’s 21st birthday!!! We’re gonna get discounted tickets to a Celtics game through Wellesley ($20) for Saturday afternoon and then dine at the Liberty Hotel (a former prison, see below) in Boston. The Harvard-Yale game is also on Saturday and is sure to be a blast.
