Waiting, waiting, waiting!

Hey guys!

Sorry about the bit of gap between posts. I've been sorting a lot of things out and now that most of them are in order, here I am!

How has everyone been? I know that right now, regular decision people are just waiting for the letter from Wellesley that will make/break/bruise their dreams of coming here. When I said "bruise", I meant it in a waitlisted-sort-of-way. I was actually waitlisted to Wellesley, and let me tell you: you may think waiting for the decision letter is hard enough, but just knowing that you almost, almost got into the school and are still in the dark about whether or not you can come is ten thousand times worse.

In the meantime, though, the best we all can do is simply twiddle our thumbs.

For the students that applied early evaluation and were told likely/very likely: congratulations! You've leaped over one big hurdle. I know that you need to let the college know soon about whether or not you want to come, and the one piece of advice I have for you is COME. Haha.

No, actually, it might be best if you did a little bit of get-to-know-you for the college. I know that when I was looking into whether or not I would attend my accepted schools, I definitely perused the course catalog. I didn't want a school with a tiny science department, so I focused on that.

What are your interests? Does Wellesley offer them? Student organizations are what spur many women to come here, especially since there are, oh, maybe 150 orgs on campus. So many so that our student government actually had an org freeze for this year! But for next year, we will be constituting, and making eligible for funding, new organizations, so if there is something you want to start that isn't here already, you can do so.

Talk to present students! Do you have any questions that I or another blogger can answer? If you want, post a question in the comments and I will get back to you within the next couple of days.. Promise.

And here's a time honored Severance Hill traying photo for you all. The snow's all gone now, but a week and a half ago, the hill was this covered:

[all bundled up and ready for the crazy ride down!]
