♩ ♪ ♫ ♬♩ ♪ ♫~ Spring Break has officially begun for Wellesley students~♩ ♪ ♫ ♬♩ ♪ ♫
I’m currently sitting on my friend’s bed at her house in New Jersey while she’s taking a “nap” (it’s 11:18pm. lol). We drove down here today as soon as classes got out because we were SO ready for the break. I’ll be spending a couple days here before I head to Florida to see my family for the first time in four years! I’m stoked. It’ll be so nice to have some consistently warm weather for the first time in I don’t even know how long! It hailed twice this past week and snowed for pretty much an entire day. Many tears, many tears.
Not too much has happened since my last post – I’ve been taking it easy the past few days since last week was really intense. I was off campus a lot during the week so it felt really nice to stay at Wellesley for a few days before leaving for spring break. The weather’s been giving me whiplash but other than that the campus is wonderful: quiet and cozy.
On Sunday, Phi Sig had our Sisterhood Brunch, where new members find out who their “Bigs” are. It was waaaay too early in the morning for me to feel super excited about but it was great seeing my friends get littles and spending time with my MamaChar (top right). My big (bottom left) is studying abroad in England right now, so this is our “family photo” from brunch this year. Since I’ll be going abroad to Copenhagen, Denmark next fall (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) the next time all three of us will be together is going to be a year from now… these amazing ladies have already taught me so much – they’re patient and understanding, they’re so loving, they’re so driven. I’m quite the weirdo and can be impossible sometimes to get through to, but these two lead by example. I see how hard they work and how much they look out for each other (and for me) and I realize what this sisterhood thing is all about. Regardless of how different our personalities or interests are, we support each other in the ways we can.
I think I might head to bed soon… or read a book …. or Netflix…?
P.S. Have you seen Tina Fey’s new series on Netflix, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt? It’s pretty hilarious and yes I already watched the entire season. If you have some time on your hands or want a distraction from waiting for responses from colleges (best of luck to you all!!!) then I highly recommend starting this show.
