Can you believe this? We’re almost done with April. That means my first year at Wellesley is coming to an end (and so is your last year of high school.. whaaat)…
And what better way to end the year than by being outdoors in the beautiful sun enjoying all this campus has to offer when the weather is nice.
SLATER SPRING FESTIVAL
On Saturday, Slater International House hosted its annual Spring Festival. There was amazing food from all over the world, performances, games… it felt like the carnival my elementary school held back in the day.

Speaking of which, I recently became the new Cultural Chair for Slater. International Students out there, you’ll be seeing a lot more of me next year. Slater is a great community of students who have come to Wellesley from all over – from France, Japan, Hong Kong, Bangladesh, South Africa, etc. If you are an International Student who will be coming to Wellesley in the Fall, you’ll probably (you should, in my opinion) attend the International Orientation which happens a few days before the actual first-year Orientation. It’s a great time to get to know the International community within Wellesley, not to mention move in early.

SAGE THE GEMINI
On Sunday night, Sage the Gemini came to perform at Wellesley. SBOG, Wellesley’s wonderful event-coordination student association, was able to get Sage as our Spring Week performer (along with Chance the Rapper who will be coming in May).
It was a great and rowdy night at Wellesley – I tried to turn down early because I knew I was getting up early the next morning for….
MARMON’14
Marathon Monday. ohhhh man. no one told me about this day ( I mean I knew it was going to be a big deal but I had no idea how FUN watching the Boston Marathon could be). There is a tradition at Wellesley of students lining up and screaming outside of the school facing the road where the Marathon runners pass campus. There was also a barbecue and live music as well as a bouncy house and other fun things on Munger Meadow for not just Wellesley students but families of the Wellesley community to enjoy.
famous….. or infamous? (myself and my future roommate)
Screaming. and kisses. and a sign that no one can read.
My voice was completely hoarse until pretty much yesterday, and my entire body was exhausted as well, but it was all worth it. I definitely recommend coming to visit Wellesley during this weekend, if you have the opportunity to.
