Finding the Balance

Hi blog!

It’s the weekend! Before I break down my plans for the weekend, I’ll recap my week. One of my friends signed her full-time job offer this week, so we went to an all-you-can-eat sushi place called Yamato to celebrate. Also, this week was Diwali so one of my friends who celebrates parents came into town and we all went to eat Indian food in Boston. It was so nice! I love Indian food so much, especially butter chicken and palak paneer. I also got my first flu shot this week! Wellesley is requiring everyone to get their flu shot. It’s crazy to think I’ve never gotten one.

On campus, I also work as a Student Philanthropy Officer for the Wellesley Fund where I call alumnae and share updates about the college/student life and solicit gifts for the fund. It’s a really fun job because you get to learn from alums experiences and see how Wellesley has changed over the years.

I’ve also started stressing out a bit about my finals and final papers. All of my four courses have a paper due at the end, so I’ve decided that I’ll start working on them now to get ahead and ease some of the stress. Other than starting to tackle my papers, my courses have been going pretty well. I’ve been having a blast in rock climbing. The Wellesley rock climbing wall has different trails to climb that are indicated by colored tape, and on Monday, I completed the traverse trail. It was honestly so difficult to climb, but I felt so good once it was done. The college released the course catalog for next semester so I’ve started looking over it to get a sense of what classes I’d like to take. I still need another 300 level and a science with a lab to graduate so those are top of mind. I’ll keep you posted on what courses I ultimately select.

This weekend, my boyfriend is coming into town to have a reunion with his friends (from the Boston area) from his internship. I’m really looking forward to meeting them. I think it’ll be a lot of fun. Tonight we’re going to dinner with them at Lolita (the Mexican place I mentioned previously).

Till next time,

Lynsey
