A Week till Break!

Hi blog!

This week has flown by pretty quickly. I had course registration on Tuesday and as promised I’ll tell you what I registered for: intro to organismal biology and the lab, term golf, the economics of globalization, environmental issues in developing countries, and a nation in therapy. The economics of globalization and environmental issues in developing countries are both 300-levels in the econ department and I only need one more so I’m planning to decide which one I’ll keep in the first few weeks of the spring semester. But fortunately for me, I only need to take three courses in the spring so the semester will be pretty manageable.

In regards to coursework, this week has been pretty lax. I’ve been bingeing a lot of “You” from Netflix and actually finished all three seasons this weekend. Also, on Friday night, my friends and I went to a speakeasy that was arcade-themed. The speakeasy was inside of Roxy’s grilled cheese and they served food and drinks. My friends and I played a bunch of arcade games and then we headed over to a Latin club called La Fabrica. I’m Hispanic so I knew most of the songs and it was so nice to be there cause they don’t play a lot of Hispanic music in Boston. Last night, my friends and I went to Ihop where we had breakfast for dinner and then we just hung out together on campus. Today, my friend and I are heading into Boston to eat some food, go shopping, and then spend some time studying. It’s nice to get off campus a bit for these more casual activities other than just going out.

Wellesley has still been doing really well with COVID and there’s only been a handful of cases since we arrived on campus. The campus feels really COVID safe and conscious. Also, Thanksgiving is next week!! I am going to Miami this upcoming Saturday which is a bit earlier than the Wellesley break but the flights were so much cheaper–plus I don’t a little extra time in the warm weather.

Best,

Lynsey
