Last First Day of Class

Hi blog!

THIS IS MY LAST SEMESTER AT COLLEGE. Sorry, that was harsh, but I think I still don’t fully believe it yet and need to constantly convince myself of it. It’s incredibly fun being a senior, yet it’s also very daunting.

For our first week back, students had to quarantine and receive two negative PCR tests. Also, classes were fully virtual to help prevent the spread to professors. I actually got Covid over winter break so I didn’t have to quarantine for this past week. I went to Brussels and Cairo over winter break, and I’m pretty sure I got Covid on my flight back from Cairo. I had an incredibly mild case where I only had a runny/stuffy nose for 2 days and then felt asymptomatic after that.

Despite not having to quarantine, Boston is having a blizzard, or a bomb cyclone, this weekend. It’s our first weekend officially back, but we’ll probably be snowed in for it. Today, I went to Roche Bros and CVS to purchase back-to-school supplies, groceries, and medications. As someone from Florida, I’m quite accustomed to hurricanes; however, this will be my first blizzard despite my several years at Wellesley. One of my friends from Massachusetts said it could get pretty bad.

I am looking forward to this semester, yet at the same time, I feel quite old. I think I’ve outgrown college which makes sense as I am a second semester senior. I honestly have a good feeling about this semester! Well, till next time!

Best,

Lynsey
