NYC and Super Bowl

Hi blog!

I’m writing to you from NYC! I’m in the city this weekend visiting my sister and it has been awesome to catch up with her. It’s also been great to get a break from campus a bit and enjoy some great food. I’m really excited to be living in this city after graduating from Wellesley. Don’t get me wrong, I’m spending a lot of time enjoying this last semester and Boston. It’s just nice to think about my future life in an incredible city. Also, while I’m in NYC this weekend, I’m starting to think about what my next weekend will look like since we have a Monday off (President’s Day!)

Other than my weekend trip, this week has gone well. My friend’s birthday was on Wednesday so we celebrated her. Since she’s on the swim team and has her final meet this upcoming weekend, we decided to order sushi into campus on Wednesday and had a little get-together in my room to celebrate. Once she’s done with her meet, we’re planning to truly celebrate in Boston with a nice dinner. In other news this week, I had a presentation for my American studies class. For the class, each person has to present the readings for the day twice throughout the semester. The readings were mostly based on therapeutic culture and narcissism in America.

I’m not much of a sports fan, but I will tune in for big games because it’s always so fun to watch. So, I’m planning on watching the super bowl a bit once I get back to campus tomorrow. I honestly love watching the commercials, and I have a feeling that they’re going to be good this year from some of the TikTok I’ve seen.

This week, I have a biology exam which I’m pretty nervous about because I’m not a huge STEM person; however, I know that I’ll take the time to study to best prepare for the test. Wish me luck!

Till next week…best,

Lynsey
