The Return from Spring Break

Hi Blog!

This is our first week back from spring break. I actually went to Punta Cana with 3 of my Wellesley friends over the break. It was an amazing vacation. We stayed at an all-inclusive resort in the DR for 7 nights. Our time was spent going to the beach, eating amazing food, and going out and into the city at night. The trip was the perfect vibe for spring break–there were so many college kids in Punta that week as well. Overall, it was just nice to get a break from coursework and the cold weather. I came back to campus with a tan and feeling very relaxed!

Since getting back, my body has still been acclimating to the cold weather. The day I got back to Boston it was about 20 degrees Fahrenheit. The remainder of this week has been a bit warmer, around the high 40s to low 60s. I am honestly hoping that the weather stays like this and starts to get warmer moving into these next few weeks. Aside from the cold weather, I’ve been playing a bit of catch-up with school work this past week. It’s always a bit challenging getting back into the grind for classes after a break. However, I think I’ve had a good time adjusting this past week. Over the weekend, my friend’s friend from Smith College came to visit her at Wellesley. We spent most of the weekend going out in Boston. We went to dinner at Lolita, a Mexican restaurant, on Friday and then went to the Grand. Then, on Saturday, we had dinner at this Greek restaurant called Committee! The food was amazing–I’m a huge fan of Greek and Mediterranean food. After Committee, we went to Lucky Strike, the bowling place, and played arcade games for the night. Going to this arcade is actually something my friends and I do a lot. It’s honestly really fun and there’s always a bunch of college kids.

Looking towards this upcoming week, I’ll probably be doing school work mostly; however, I’m headed to NYC this weekend!

Till next time,

Lynsey
