Life Updates

Hello! After six weeks of break and one week of classes, I’m finally back on the blog. This semester I’m doing something a little different– taking five classes. Before I talk about that, though, I feel like I should do a brief re-cap of what happened while I was gone:

  1. I worked at a spin studio back home. It was the first time I worked for an exclusively women owned women run business and it was so much fun. Truth be told, I don’t love my hometown (it’s a little small for me) but they managed to make me actually enjoy being home.
  2. I filled out a lot of applications… and I mean A LOT of applications. With internship season approaching I was writing essay after essay, cover letter after cover letter. It felt a little monotonous, but hopefully, it will all be worth it come summer!
  3. I got rejected from an internship I really wanted. Getting a rejection from a company you really wanted to work for is awful. And, while I have been applying for a lot of different opportunities, this one felt like the one. So, for now, I will keep applying to things until I feel like I find something that is perfect.
  4. I got bangs!  Probably the least important of all of the updates, but still significant.

Alright, back to this semester: Normally I take four classes a semester because I found that it gives me the best school/study/work/fun balance BUT I just couldn’t decide what classes to take.  So I ended up with: Arabic 202 (my last semester YAY), Computer Science for the Socio-Techno World, Gender and Law, Nuclear Politics and Introduction of Financial Accounting. I am also one of the membership coordinators* for the Agora Society this semester as well as part of the Honor Code Council. While I know this semester is going to mean a lot of work I am really excited about my classes and everything to come.

Stay tuned for next week’s post! I’m going to try my hand at vlogging.

xoxo,

caroline
