Moms and Advisors

I’m giddy from the best care package ever!!! I won’t tell you guys exactly what my mom sent, but just know that Godiva and Dillard’s (ya’ll Southerners know what that is) were involved. My advice to parents – be creative, and throw something in for the roommates.

Parents: Care packages don't stop after first year. From Godiva.com

Anyway, that lovely package has made my day so far. After I scarfed down my lunch (as I tend to do) I had a meeting with my major advisor.

Okay,  so when a student comes to Wellesley, she is assigned a First Year Advisor. When she gets ready to declare her major, she chooses a Major Advisor. My advisor my first year was so awesome, I asked her to be my major advisor!

I talked with her about my 4-year plan, which is just sort of a rough outline of what classes a student plans to take. A plam is helpful to have at a liberal arts school so that you can make sure to complete your major and still explore.

As a first-semester sophomore, I could take a few more months to figure it out – but I’d like to do a domestic exchange. I’ll tell you all where if my app is approved 😉
