Happy Halloween

Happy late Halloween! Last year, I remember my Halloween weekend being consumed by double, triple, and quadruple checking my college applications. I am glad that Halloween was different this year.

After Halloweekend, I was grateful to have a more relaxed Monday. I attended class and enjoyed walking around campus afterwards because the weather was weirdly pretty nice for the end of fall. I personally did not dress up in any costumes for Halloween day, but I saw several people dressed up.

Of course, I wanted to take advantage of free candy. So, I made sure to hit up my favorite place for that, which is the third floor women’s restroom in Founders Hall. I swear that restroom is unironically one of the nicest spots on campus. The bathroom has fall decorations, hand lotion, decorated coffee mugs, a randomly ginormous stall with its own sink, and a regularly refilled bucket of free candy. I learned that day that the candy is provided by one of the cleaning staff, which is incredibly kind and thoughtful of them; I made sure to thank them as well. From the bucket, I picked out some of the best candy of all time – Twix.

That evening, I knew that students could go trick or treating at the College President’s House. So, three friends and I made the trek over to the President’s House on the far far east side of campus to get some free candy. It was my first time at the house and there was a great assortment of chocolates, as well as snacks like Annie’s Bunny Grahams and trail mixes.

My bag heavy with candy, I then headed over to Clapp Library to do some more homework. I literally just discovered that there’s a basement/ground floor of the library and I’ve been trying to do more work there. I saw some comfy seats and somehow fell asleep there for like twenty minutes? I got jolted out of my nap from the looming anxiety of remembering I had an assignment due at 11:59pm, so I finished the night doing that. Overall a nice Halloween.

Thanks for reading and I’ll include some photos from my week!
