A busy week

Hello everyone!

I can’t believe that it’s Wednesday already. This past week was really stressful for me with all of the pre-spring break chaos. At this point in the semester, I am really looking forward to spring break.

I don’t think I have shared that with you yet, but I’llbe spending most of my spring break in NYC. I have never been there before, and I am super excited for it. One of my friends from UC Berkeley is flying there, and I will be spending some time with her. I haven’t seen her for some time now, so it will be great being with her in the city.

Otherwise, life on campus has been okay. The weather this week was really nice, except for the snow storm yesterday of course. The rain came out of nowhere, and it later turned into snow. Most of the snow is gone now though, so it was just an anomaly for the week.

My classes are going fine. My past two labs in Chemistry were really interesting because we were actually doing cool reactions and making physical things, instead of computational tasks. We made nylon (we were analyzing different types of polymers), and the second picture is Iodide in CuSO4 (the color was just so ugly, hah).

Economics is going surprisingly well too. I mainly took Econ for a distribution requirement, but I find that I actually enjoy the class. I had a meeting with my Econ professor, Patrick McEwan, today, where we just chatted about different possible majors I was considering. He gave me a lot of useful advice, even though my major (or, like, the major that I am considering the most right now) is not Economics. Professors at Wellesley are generally really approachable and willing to help, which I really appreciate. After all, one of the primary reasons I chose Wellesley in the first place was the possibility of connecting with the faculty and how easy it is to approach them.

So, that’s about it for the week. Hopefully, I will have more exciting things to tell you about next week. Stay safe!
