Hey everybody!
Can you believe that this will be my last blog post before the summer break? According to my Google Drive folder, this is my 26th post, and I still remember nervously writing the first one. The summer promises to be a busy, but also fun one. But first I have to survive the end of the semester.
Here are some interesting things about my last week of classes at Wellesley (and the first 2 days of the reading period).
- I have already packed most of my things even though my flight is on Thursday next week. I have been worried that I have too many things, and I won’t be able to pack everything (this has since been confirmed, I had to throw away many things).
- My roommate and I went to the launching event of the latest book in the Percy Jackson universe – “The Sun and The Stars” by Mark Oshiro and Rick Riordan. We met both authors, heard the latest news about all the exciting projects related to that universe, got a signed copy of the book…and finished the night with Taco Bell in the Common room. I would have already finished the book if it wasn’t for the fact that my roommate has forbidden me to read the book in our room since she can’t read it now and I am very expressive when I read, thus spoiling the book for her.
- There was a big concert on campus the other day by the group MUNA. I didn’t go to that, but I saw lots of Instagram stories, and it looked fun, even if the music is not really my style.
- The baby ducklings are growing!!!
- I went to bingo last Friday (believe it or not, bingo is a really popular Friday night activity on campus), and one other person and I shouted “Bingo!” at the exact same time…and I lost the rock-paper-scissors for the prize :(.
- There was a fun fair/market in the East Side dorms, and the big attraction was a mechanical bull!
- The last day of classes was bittersweet for everyone, especially for the graduating seniors of the yellow class of 2023. In honor of their achievements and of them as a class, a lot of the buildings were decorated in yellow, and it was honestly really cool.
I guess that’s it for me for this year. Stay safe everyone!
