Goodbye, Wellesley

Goodbye, Wellesley

I’ve been putting off writing this because I wasn’t sure what to say — or how to sum up four years of my life in a single post. The truth is, there’s no perfect way to say goodbye to a place that’s changed you, but here it is.

Wellesley wasn’t always easy. There were weeks that felt never-ending, classes that pushed me more than I thought possible, and moments where I questioned if I was doing any of it right. But alongside that came people who showed up for me, late-night conversations that made everything feel a little more manageable, and a campus that somehow always looked beautiful — even when I was running on three hours of sleep.

This place taught me a lot, both in and outside the classroom. I learned how to ask better questions. I learned how to trust my instincts, even when they felt uncertain. I learned that growth doesn’t always look dramatic — sometimes it’s quiet and slow and shows up when you’re not paying attention.

What I’ll miss most isn’t anything dramatic. It’s the small, everyday stuff — seeing familiar faces in the dining hall, impromptu catch-ups walking to class, the comfort of knowing exactly the best spots to study on campus. Those little things ended up meaning the most.

To my friends: thank you for showing up, over and over again. For making the hard days easier and the good days even better. To the professors and staff who genuinely cared — that made a difference. More than you probably realize.

Wellesley wasn’t perfect, but it mattered. And I’m really grateful for that. So here’s to what’s next — whatever it looks like — and to the people and experiences that helped me get there.

Thanks for everything,

Anna Tutek
