Re: New Contract with IMSEUA Ratified
Date: September 13, 2019

We are pleased to share that the tentative agreement between the College and the Independent Maintenance and Service Employees Union of America (IMSEUA) has been ratified by the union membership. The four-year contract will support workers in dining services, custodial, grounds, motor pool, and trades on campus.

Key aspects of the new contract include:

  • annual wage increases of 2.5%
  • an increase in the College’s contribution to health insurance for lower-wage workers
  • an agreed-upon wage scale progression for newly hired dining employees
  • the development of an apprenticeship program designed to create new pathways for advancement in the trades

Our union workers are valued members of the Wellesley community and play an important role in the experience of our students. We deeply respect the work that they do, and we look forward to continuing the strong working relationship between the College and IMSEUA.
